One of the best things I did for myself in 2018 was step out of my comfort zone and try MLBBC! I had just finished another half marathon, and was wanting to change things up. I was incredibly nervous, as I had never participated in group exercise. I had run hundreds of solo miles and cross trained with DVD’s in my basement, and wasn’t sure how I would like exercising with a trainer and around other people. During my free one week trial, Emily took me under her wing and worked out alongside me and made me feel comfortable/capable. I was hooked after that first week, and signed on to do 3 days a week. I absolutely loved the variety of the workouts, the awesome trainers, and yes..working out with other women! I also love the positive environment Emily has created-from encouraging notes/emails, her weekly newsletter, to fun incentives and programs throughout the year!
I’ve learned so much about myself and my body these last 8 months. I have realized that the slow, steady cardio that I had been doing for years wasn’t changing my body, if anything it was holding me back. I decided to sign on for unlimited boot camp last month and actually lost weight between Halloween and New Year’s! But most importantly, I am proud of myself for getting stronger, challenging myself during every workout, and being more positive about my body. I love how we are encouraged to love ourselves and the motivation we receive during each and every workout. Simply put, I LOVE MLBBC and am so thankful for all that I have learned and accomplished!
