Health Coach

Meet Rhonda!


As a health and wellness coach here at MyLeanBody Boot Camp, I am a passionate health advocate and love all things related to diet and nutrition.  But, that hasn’t always been the case in my life. It wasn’t until my mid 40’s that I found MLBBC after a lifetime of struggling to diet and exercise on my own.  I started coming to boot camp 3 days a week. My goal was to do that for a month just to see. It has been 8 years and I cannot imagine my life without MLBBC!  


Having been a chubby child to an adult peak weight of 222 lbs, exercise was not something I thought I could ever like, nor did I ever think I could be a ‘normal sized’ person. WOW, was I wrong!  With the boot camp style workouts and learning more about food through MLBBC’s great support, I continued to lose weight but more importantly I lost inches and became more confident in a new me.  Now small group weight training has transformed my life both physically and mentally as I have discovered the extreme importance of maintaining lean muscle throughout life’s second half. 


Throughout the years I have been at MLBBC I have learned that health and wellness is a continual journey.  This became clear to me after working out and making significant lifestyle changes for several years.  My weight began to creep back up despite all that I had been doing to maintain that loss for almost 5 years.  Frustrated by the explanation of ‘being that certain age”, I sought out more holistic care for my health to address the menopause pounds and other struggles.  Thankfully I learned how to do health differently and that has given me the results I wanted.  


With all I have learned over the course of my journey I wanted to help others with similar issues.  I pursued certification to become a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, then continued on passing the national board certification and am now also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.  


As a health coach, I love working one-on-one with women to build a personalized, multi-faceted and holistic approach to healthy weight loss. I can give you support through education and by sharing my own personal experience to lasting lifestyle changes, freedom from restrictive dieting, body shaming, and negative emotional and mental patterns.  I would love to talk with you about how to make your own health journey come true!
